Guitar Chords

Imagine the fret board as a conveyor belt

This sequence has no start and no end, it goes round and round.  The same sequence of chords in the same order no matter where you start or finish.

Think of a conveyor belt and imagine it overlayed as the neck of the guitar.

This analogy has been very useful in getting students to understand and practically apply this method.

Please observe...

The e chord always follows the g chord

The d chord always follows the e chord

The c chord always follows the d chord

The g chord always follows the c chord

The a chord always follows the g chord ..

and then the whole cylce starts again.

Enough theory - See how to get practical now!
