
Here we have a diagram of all the notes on the E string. Of course the notes are going to be identical for the treble and bass E string, so I included them in the diagram to avoid any confusion.
I see this diagram being helpful when first starting to learn E shaped barre chords.
The idea is to get so familiar with the notes on the E string that you learn them off by heart this is more for reference and consolidation to avoid any misunderstanding.
I have labeled the frets which normally have dots on them, these being the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th and 12th fret.
It is also worth noting that that after the 12th fret the sequence starts again, a bit like a conveyor belt.
Also dont be confused there is no B sharp note this is a C note, and there is no E sharp note, this is an F note.

First Fret of the E String is an F note.
Second Fret of the E String is an F Sharp note.
Third Fret of the E String is an G note.
Fourth Fret of the E String is an G Sharp note.
Fifth Fret of the E String is an A note.
Sixth Fret of the E String is an A Sharp note.
Seventh Fret of the E String is a B note.
Eighth Fret of the E String is a C note.
Ninth Fret of the E String is an C Sharp note.
Tenth Fret of the E String is a D note.
Eleventh Fret of the E String is a D Sharp note.
Twelfth Fret of the E String is an E note - We are back to the start!
Thirteenth Fret Same as First Fret
Fourteenth Fret Same as Second Fret
Fifteenth Fret Same as Third Fret
.. And so on and on it goes
